JAM Club
JAM Club (Jesus and Me) – our main school Bible Club – has been running for many years and is open to all children in KS2 (Years 3-6).
It is lead purely by volunteers under the guidance of one of our school governors, Anita Thomas. The club takes place every Wednesday from 3.30 – 5.00pm in the school hall. The children are taught from the Bible and carry out a variety of fun activities, including singing songs, playing games and making crafts.
JAM also includes annual and biennial special events. For example:
Annual weekend away to the Cotswolds
End of term parties
Our popular pancake party
End of Year Party (to which all parents, carers and family are invited)
Biennial Prom Praise for Schools trip to the Royal Albert Hall.
The club is open to all who want to learn more about the Bible, Jesus and living the Christian life. There is a termly cost of £10 to defray the expenses of food and resources. Once a child has been attending the club for half a term, showing a weekly commitment, they are given a JAM Club badge, which they are able to wear to school every day.
JAM Junior
JAM Junior is our Bible Club for our KS1 Children (Years 2-Reception). The club is led by Anita with a couple of JAM Club KS2 children, who give up their lunch break to help. It runs every Friday from 12.30 – 1pm and takes place in the cabin (on the playground). The children are taught from the Bible, sing songs and finish with an activity.
This club is free and offered to one class per half term (for 4-6 weeks) up to a maximum of 10 children. Each year group has the chance to join twice a year as follows:
Autumn term: Year 2 & Year 1
Spring term: Reception & Year 2
Summer term: Year 1 & Reception
