We are a religious school with a strong Christian ethos.
Our parish vicar, Mother Sally visits the school every week to conduct a whole-school assembly and meet with members of the school community. She also conducts confirmation classes for those children who wish to be confirmed.
At least once a term the whole school visits our associated church, St Mary Magdalene’s, in Munster Square. St. Mary Magdalene’s was founded in 1852 and it is a Grade 2* listed building.
Please visit St. Mary Magdalene’s website here.
At Christ Church we also welcome children of other faiths and ensure that other religions are valued and celebrated. This may occur during RE lessons, or in celebration assemblies or events. This year, for example, we had a whole school Eid assembly where children shared how they had celebrated and this was followed by an Eid feast in the hall after school.
