Thank you to all our staff and parents who helped make the Summer Fair such a success. We would not have been able to give the children this lovely experience without all the support on Friday afternoon with setting up the stalls. We are especially thankful to Drin's Mum, Tori's Mum, Jessia and George's Mum, AMjad and Khadijatu's Mum, Halima's Mum and Manha's Mum who all ran stalls in the baking sunshine! Thank you Jeannie, Tracy and Natalie for all your organisation and thank you Harry's Mum for booking the ice cream van!
Year 5's learning about film-making saw them hit the streets this week! After discussing different early directors and their films –such as the Lumière Brothers' Arrival of a train at La Ciotat Station - they were given a mission to capture everyday events happening all around them. Back in their classroom, they edited their chosen footage using iMovie and were asked to select a soundtrack for their film that they believed matched the tone of their footage. The final short films make for interesting watching!
Christ Church celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in style!
Thank you Jeannie, Tracy, Nessa, Olly and all who worked so hard to create a lovely 'street' party in the playground this afternoon. The children waved their flags, sang the National Anthem and ate their homemade Jubilee cakes and biscuits.
We really enjoyed being able to welcome so many parents and carers to join in with the EYFS Stay and Play this week. The children absolutely loved showing their parents their classroom and being able to share their learning. Thank you for coming!
