Coram's Fields Football

Last Friday, our boys' and girls' football teams sizzled in the sun at Coram's Fields, where they both played six very competitive matches.

Our girls' squad won two, drew three and lost one. They didn't quite progress through the morning group stage, but it was wonderful to see them win both afternoon games - against Kentish Town and Richard Cobden - one-nil to secure top spot in their pool. It has been a season of huge progress for this team and we are so proud of them. Most of the girls are in Year 5 so we will see them again in a Christ Church shirt after the summer break.

The boys' team won one, drew one and lost four on a difficult day. The highlight was a five-nil win against Saint George the Martyr. We were incredibly proud of the way they played against Fleet too, a brilliant team who won the Camden Cup comfortably this year. Our boys held them to a scoreless draw until the final minute when Fleet finally broke through our stubborn defence.
