Christ Church Library Opened in Grand Style

History was made this week when Her Majesty, Queen Camilla, visited our wonderful school to open our stunning new library.

We have so many people to thank. To the National Literacy Trust (NLT) and their Libraries for Primaries campaign, we could not be more grateful. Because of the strong partnership we have created over the years, by participating in projects such as the Young Readers Programme and Young City Poets, the NLT knew of our school and of our children who love to read. With the support of Bloomberg they have designed, installed and created a beautiful space that our children cannot wait to use and enjoy. A huge thank you to both organisations. The launch day was made into a day never-to-be-forgotten due to the hard work of so many people. To all the team at Royal Palaces and the wonderful Queen herself, thank you for helping us plan and stage a historic experience and to the brilliant authors who visited – Ramzee, Chris Smith, Sophy Henn and Tola Okogwu – we are so grateful for the time and energy you gave to our children.  It was a mesmerising and joyful day, which truly filled our hearts. Well done, everybody!
